Retail Sales Assistant Role
The Farmer’s Wife is a multi-brand fashion and lifestyle store, born and bred in Creswick, Regional Victoria. As a rapidly growing business, our team are the driving force behind the company. An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced Retail Sales Assistant, who will provide our customers with outstanding service in a genuine and friendly manner. Applying and sharing knowledge of our beautiful fashion and homewares whilst creating a great customer experience in store.
Further to this, you will be responsible for daily operations, including sales, stock management, online fulfilment, and daily banking. Controlling the standard of store presentation, store ambiance and customer service is essential.
This role will report to the Retail Sales & Operations Manager and will be expected to work under their own initiative and at times work shifts alone. Excellent communication and the continued maintenance of relationships with all team members and customers is essential.
The Role:
- Provide quality customer service, maintain personal presentation and store presentation standards.
- Commitment to continual improvement in processes, embracing new systems and support Company growth.
- Address customer requests, comments and complaints.
- Working to achieve smooth daily operations.
- Assist to manage and control online order fulfilment in a timely manner.
- Assist to control record keeping, i.e., preparing invoices, daily banking, receipts, banking cash and managing cash float.
- Accurate stock management, including controlling stock receival, stock transfers and assist with regular stocktakes.
- Monitor stock levels, provide advice on stock performance, maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Contribute and support team communication, stay up to date, monitor store email inbox, inform and share information with the team.
About You:
- Min 1 year experience in a similar role
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
- High level communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- High level of computer literacy using a range of programs including Vend, Shopify and Outlook.
- Attention to detail is critical and ability to work with tight deadlines
