Our Story

Hello & welcome to The Farmer's Wife.

The journey began in 2015, when Bec Mason discovered a beautiful old 1880s building in the heart of Creswick, with its grand triple-fronted bay windows and original bluestone porch. It was love at first sight. Bec knew, without a doubt, that this Farmer's Wife had found her place.

Our Founder

With a background in interior design, Bec has always had an eye for beauty, drawn to timeless, thoughtful design over passing trends. A stint as a homewares buyer deepened her love for merchandising and the magic of storytelling through space.

One rainy afternoon, mushrooming in the pine forests of Creswick with her much-adored Farmer, she stumbled upon that charming old store and began dreaming of all she could bring to life in this little country town. The rest, as they say, is history.

Three Stores, One Story

What began as one small boutique has grown into three beautiful stores and a thriving online shop, each lovingly curated with care. Today, The Farmer's Wife is a destination for beautiful, feminine fashion, known as much for its warmth as its style.

Stepping into The Farmer's Wife is an experience in itself: whimsical, inviting spaces filled with unexpected details that catch the eye. Soft lighting, elegant chandeliers and vintage armoires set the scene, while plush rugs and thoughtfully chosen collections invite you to slow down and look closer.

These spaces reflect Bec's interior design roots: elegant, but never too serious. Relaxed, a little romantic, and always welcoming.

Each store is brought to life by a team of talented, passionate women who share Bec's eye for timeless style. Still proudly family-owned, Bec now works alongside her daughter and granddaughter, growing The Farmer's Wife with the same values it began with: heart, family, and a deep love of beautiful things.

We invite you to experience the world of The Farmer's Wife, where timeless fashion meets genuine hospitality and every visit feels a little like coming home.

With love,
TFW & the girls x
